Adaptive Classes and 1-1 Training 

Alternative Movement are pioneering the way for adaptive athletes. All of our sessions are led by a fully qualified coach who specialise in adaptive and alternative methods of training. 

Here at Alternative movement we adapt and modify workouts to suit the needs of any individual living with an impairment whether that be a physical or learning disability with complex needs.

With Alt Movement we believe with adaptive training, there is no right or wrong way of training, only a safe and unsafe way. 

Based out of a 5,000 sq ft private training facility CrossFit Thurrock in Grays, we offer a multitude of services to suit the needs of individuals, whether that be 1-1, Group training or online programming. we have something that can work for you. 

PROGRAMMING AND ONLINE TRAINING

Adaptive Athlete Programming

Finding a program that works for you and your impairment can sometimes be a little frustrating, at Alt Movement we have spent years working with adaptive athletes, exploring movement and understanding requirements of specific impairments in order to Create a training plan that works for you. 

All of our programs are completely customised to the individual, as we understand that in this case it's not always one size fit all. 

If you are looking for a one off plan to follow specific to your impairment, we got you covered. But if you are looking to take your training to the next level with online coaching, where one of our fully qualified coaches will work along side you remotely to help you achieve your goals.

"Adaptive CrossFit Class" Physical Disabilities Every week 

A form of high intensity interval training, CrossFit is a strength and conditioning workout that is made up of functional movement performed at a high intensity level. These movements are actions that you perform in your day-to-day life, like squatting, pulling, pushing etc.

"Adaptive CrossFit Class" Learning Disabilities Every week

WODAPTIVE COMP

All day

"WODAPTIVE"  10th September

WODAPTIVE is proud to present to you the first of its adaptive functional fitness competitions.

We are a community that is enthusiastic to be giving adaptive athletes of any calibre a chance to compete in a fair and inclusive competition.

 

Teams of 1 able-bodied and 1 adaptive athlete, will battle it out over 3/4 wods, to be crowned winners

of our Wodaptive pairs competition.

 

Each athlete will get a free beanie showing your support.
