ABOUT US

Alt Movement was founded after recognising a major gap in the fitness and support industry. Through my onboarding process, I consistently ask new clients about their previous experiences with exercise. Time and time again, individuals with disabilities shared the same story environments that lacked the knowledge, understanding, or equipment to meet their needs. In many cases, they felt excluded entirely.

Alt Movement was created to change that.

We exist to provide an inclusive, empowering environment where individuals of all abilities can train safely, effectively, and with purpose. Our approach combines strength and conditioning with adaptive coaching methods, ensuring that every session is tailored to the individual not the other way around.

Our mission is to educate, inspire, and lead change within the fitness industry, while helping those in the adaptive community reach their full potential. We don’t just focus on physical progress; we build confidence, independence, and long-term capability.

Through our work, we support individuals across a wide spectrum of needs, from those looking to improve general fitness, to those working on rehabilitation, to athletes preparing for competition. Alongside this, we are committed to raising the standard of coaching by educating other trainers, gyms, and organisations on how to deliver truly inclusive fitness.

As part of the wider Alternative Movement brand, our work extends beyond the gym floor. We integrate fitness with real-world outcomes supporting daily living skills, community engagement, and overall wellbeing. Whether it’s through 1-1 coaching, group sessions, workshops, or education programmes, everything we do is built around creating opportunities, breaking down barriers, and redefining what’s possible.
