Alt Support
Day oportunties
Providing meaningful opportunities, with a complete person centred approach
Creating meaningful opportunities
Activities aim to enhance travel training, independence skills, budgeting skills, access to the local community, preparation for employment, social wellbeing and most importantly, having fun!
Some activities are based in one of our three locations, while others will be out in the local community.
Inclusion is at the heart of the service and each person has their own weekly timetable based on their goals and interests. Service Users are supported to use public transport where possible to access the Day Opportunities service to increase and encourage independence.

Real people, real stories

Jason
Southern
Jason's story
Jason started with us when he was just 15 years old, and after 6 years he is now working alongside the team as an assistant coach where he supports other individuals with disabilities. Jay, who is deaf and has cerebral palsy, has first hand experience what is like to face certain challenges in life when is comes to finding employment and accessing the community as a person with a disability.
Lauren's Story
Laurens life was turned upside-down when she developed sepsis, which resulted in her becoming a double lower limb amputee. After hearing about Alt and joining our community she was determined to get her life back on track and become the best version of herself. Working alongside our team Lauren has come on in leaps and bounds and now has the confidents and strong mindset to turn her disability in to an ability.
