Alt Support
Day oportunties

Providing meaningful opportunities, with a complete person centred approach

Creating meaningful opportunities

Activities aim to enhance travel training, independence skills, budgeting skills, access to the local community, preparation for employment, social wellbeing and most importantly, having fun!

Some activities are based in one of our three locations, while others will be out in the local community.

Inclusion is at the heart of the service and each person has their own weekly timetable based on their goals and interests. Service Users are supported to use public transport where possible to access the Day Opportunities service to increase and encourage independence.

Jason's story

Jason started with us when he was just 15 years old, and after 6 years he is now working alongside the team as an assistant coach where he supports other individuals with disabilities. Jay, who is deaf and has cerebral palsy, has first hand experience what is like to face certain challenges in life when is comes to finding employment and accessing the community as a person with a disability.

Craig's Story

Craig acquired a brain injury at the age of 3 which left him unable to use the right side of his body and along with difficulties communicating. Craig is now a huge part of the Alt family and is also now competing in adaptive sports. This has not only helped Craig to become stronger and fitter but also helped him in developing strong connections and making lifelong friends.
